What is a woman to do without accessories.
Accessories (especially necklaces) play a huge role in my life.... They are just the things that I can't live without.
Last week, I purchased ANOTHER NECKLACE!! I just couldn't resist the cute vintage cats that kept glazing at me whenever i dropped my eyes on them.. I said to my friend Helen, "If they are there when we come back here next week, then the necklace and I are meant to be!"

In less then a week, I went back to the shop and the three retro felines were still sitting steady in their pendant frames glazing at me.. I told Helen, "No, I need to get a cardigan instead, cause the central aircond is too damn cold!' She said, "yes, your right, just go and get a cardigan cuz the necklace is a bit too pricey." I agreed, but my heart didn't. To make things worse, my fiance kept pushing me to buy it.
Now here I am, scanning my cat vintage pendant necklace from Shoes Shoes Shoes, that I wouldn't trade for anything in this world!!!
Miaw......

Oh, and what is a catty blog without my angel, Mr. Bble,

Heres me collection of me metal chained necklaces...
See how adorable the sewing machine necklace is.. it has a small measuring tape and a pair of snippers hanging from the chain, too... Precious!
These 3 are the most famous necklaces in my room. Not a week goes by without me flashing them around town...

Back to the topic, making your own pendant framed necklaces isn't that hard too!
All you have to do is.....
Prepare;
pendant tray blank (available at www.paperstudio.com)
-scrapbook paper
-old magazines
-ultra-fine glitter
-small rhinestone
-glue stick
-diamond glaze
-jump-ring
-round-nose pliers
-scissors

Once you have all of the shit put together, then you;

  • Begin by cutting a piece of paper, or the picture that you would like to frame in the pendant so that it will cover the bottom/back of the pendant tray. Glue-stick the paper to the bottom of the pendant tray.
  • Add a touch of sparkle by gluing on a small rhinestone and sprinkling a bit of ultra-fine glitter in the pendant tray (by choice). Allow to dry.
  • To add the glassy finis, apply Diamond Glaze in one continuous stroke, covering all the papers and glitter until you have reached the sides and top of the pendant tray. This will appear foggy but will dry crystal clear. Allow to dry on a flat surface for at least 24 hours.
  • Once dry, attach the pendant to your chosen media. (chain, rope, or even beaded necklace)
  • last but not least, send me a pic so we can show it off to everyone!!

    Good luck!!

    oh, and the pendant trays can be found here, or at your local scrapbook haven!

    to beautiful soul.....
    the answer is simple,
    just cover the chain with see-thru nail lacquer, or spray it with aerosol. leave it to dry for a day or two, then flash your bling, baby...
    hahaha,,,,
    remember, it must be dry when you spray or paint it!! and don't do it to thick, cuz it will bubble up...

    xoxo
    hope its useful
