DIY. Handpaint Your Plant Pots
Image from Ebay
Here is a little DIY of the day from No Place Like HEIMA's Pinterest roll.
Out the window with old, boring earth-tone planters and in with the new neon, graphic, polka dot pots.Whether you draw a face, add dots, or simply dip the pots in to paint, it can easily become the center of the room and make your plants look amazing!
Jazz up those herbs in the kitchen, or add a cactus or two to the bathroom.

A Home Close to Nature
Spending annual month long holidays with my father during my childhood, we often wandered off into the wildness far from any civilization. Spending hours trekking along non-existing paths or snorkeling in the natural waters barely untouched by humans transformed my world into a paradise. All of the happiness, plants, animals, facial expressions, decoration, simplicity... It sticks with me until today. Whenever I close my eyes, I travel back to my paradise and all the images come to life.
Sadly, one can't live in an imaginary paradise forever.
Staying close to nature has always comforted me and put my life in balance. Whenever possible, I collect items and set them around the house or office. Items that seem like junk to someone's eyes is almost always someone elses treasure.
Underwater life has always fascinated me. The fact that we know so little about it excites me and makes me feel like it truly is another world apart.
That is why I adore terrariums, fish tanks, and water gardens.
These water garden images originate from the World In Green and RadMegan.
An ideal home is one that bonds with nature. Whether indoor or outdoor, plants are beautiful. Here are a few homes living in harmony with nature.
All images taken from here.
If you aren't a fan of extreme nature living, or simply can't find the energy to water them at the end of the day, perhaps some mini plant pots will do for you. Since the plant pots provide minimal space, the plants don't mature and grow large.
Lovely Floral Paintings
I can't get over this lovely bunch of art pieces from the super talented KT (Katy) Smail. The hues of perfection she puts into each blossom is so warm and delicately placed. In a way, it reminds me of Cath Kidston and Lisa Rupp, however all of the florals are hand painted on canvas.

Green houses
When you hear the term green house in modern times, you will automatically imagine something Earth-saving, but for me, green house has a totally different meaning.

Don't you just look houses that are covered in green!!
Being brought up in England, I got to see wonderful homes and buildings that were literally green, from roof to ground! Now I am in Asia, and seeing green houses is rare, almost imposible! Of course they still exist on mountains and in the jungles, but they are mostly green because they are surrounded by plants, not actually have them growing on it, inside out.
So every time I see a picture or so, I travel back to my childhood.
Thank you Kindai for this lovely shot. I am now living my childhood memories once more!
