This is for you Raymond.

Moving to another country will never be easy.
But it will become a chapter in your book of life. A thick chapter which is written all your sorrow and happiness, all the friendship that you built, all the love that you shared, the fights and the mistakes.
All of this is your experience which you have gained throughout the years....
All of this has made you who you are today.

It is never history, it is just moving on to the next chapter, in your book of life...

Beirut- Postcards from Italy

The times we had
Oh, when the wind would blow with rain and snow
Were not all bad
We put our feet just where they had, had to go
Never to go

The shattered soul
Following close but nearly twice as slow
In my good times
There were always golden rocks to throw
at those who admit defeat too late
Those were our times, those were our times

And I will love to see that day
That day is mine
When she will marry me outside with the willow trees
And play the songs we made
They made me so
And I would love to see that day
Her day was mine

well Raymond is very lucky to have you.

Nice poem. We all know that moving to another country is exciting but at the same time quite a draining exercise. Things leaving behind and new encounters. Sometimes I feel too old to face all that again. :)
