Benches are now increasingly being used in dining rooms around the globe. Once only used at beach sides and around Oriental Asia, they can now be seen as a replacement to the dining chair and can be used in almost any kind of house setting you have.

Lovely Kids House Beds

Little kids' house beds  are popping up like popcorn over the net and it is hard not to admire them. The first time we saw one was in a super expensive child's Scandinavian design book a few years back.
These little DIY cuties create a safe little space for toddlers as the mattress is not high up, yet it looks chic and playful instead of looking like a mattress was just thrown on the floor.

To get more children's rooms ideas and inspiration, fall into the imaginative world at our roll.

DIY Teepees and Tents For Kids (and Folks Alike)

Image via The Boo and the Boy

At No Place Like HEIMA, we love kids and believe that there is a kid in everyone one of us. Whether it is designing for kids or simply getting inspired by them, these are no limits in designing in the imagination of a child. That is why it is essential to encourage and support a child in their play.

Parents often splurge on high end, expensive  toys believing that it will 'improve' their child just as the brand promotes. But at At No Place Like HEIMA, we encourage DIY-ing parents as parents know their child the best.

Most of our earliest memories were spent in tents, tree houses or under curtain and bed cover laden chairs and tables, and we had some serious fun in there, didn't we!

These adorable patterns were created by Jeni Baker, author of the In Color Order blog for Geometric Bliss.

Dots and Droplets in Abstract art

Art by Hanna Konola

Details such as little lines, dots, drops or  simple scribbles add a meaning to an art piece. As the rain does, these little details create a sense of calmness in the  paintings.
Here are some hand picked paintings selected by No Place Like HEIMA.
