Neil Aspinall, RIP

The Beatles fans will for sure know the talented Neil Aspinall,... he was known as the 5th Beatles dues to his massive contribution to them..
A school friend of the Beatles' Paul McCartney and George Harrison at The Liverpool Institute, Aspinall was the band's first road manager and would drive them to gigs in his van. He later became their personal assistant, and in 1968 was given a management role at Apple Records — The Beatles' own record label. In 1995, he was the executive producer of the Beatles' Anthology project.Up to today he was the executive chief of Apple Corporation and manages the Beatles' affairs..
The BBC reports that despite no musical training, he sang in the chorus of the classic song, Yellow Submarine. During the recording sessions of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Neil Aspinall aided the Beatles to play their songs. He played tambura on Within You Without You and harmonica on Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite.
In a joint statement the surviving band members, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, proclaim:
"All his friends and
loved ones will greatly miss him,
but will always retain the fondest
memories of a great man…
As a loyal friend, confidant and
chief executive,
Neil's trusting stewardship and
guidance has left a far-reaching
legacy for generations to come."
RIP Neil, We love you!!!

The Beatle who stands alone

Yeap... Helping the world once again!!!
Paul McCartney is the latest star to hook up with PETA for a pro veggie ad. Back then with his bitch of a wife, he also supported PETA to fight against seal poaching ... Laveley!!!
Rocking PETA’s new “Eat No Animal” t-shirt, everyone’s favourite Beetle describes the first time it hit him that animals value their lives just as much as humans do.
Says Paul: “Many years ago, I was fishing, and as I was reeling in the poor fish, I realized, ‘I am killing him — all for the passing pleasure it brings me.’
And something inside me clicked. I realized as I watched him fight for breath, that his life was as important to him as mine is to me.”
What do you think about his PETA ad??

I just had to do a post on some of my most fav Xmas songs ever.
Band Aid was a British and Irish charity supergroup, founded in 1984 by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in order to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia by releasing the record "Do They Know It's Christmas?" for the Christmas market. The single surpassed the hopes of the producers to become the Christmas number one on that release. Two subsequent re-recordings of the song to raise further money for charity also topped the charts. The original was produced by Midge Ure.
The record was released on 3 December, and went straight to No. 1 in the UK singles chart, outselling all the other records in the chart put together. It became the fastest- selling single of all time in the UK, selling a million copies in the first week alone. It stayed at No. 1 for five weeks, selling over three million copies and becoming easily the biggest-selling single of all time in the UK.

I bloody love them to death.....
Damn I wish ...........
Here i am curled up in my blanket lying in my safe position on the rug in front of my TV watching The Beatles very first visit to our beloved yanks.....
It's raining outside...it's cold... and I'm feeling down......but happy... but sad...
my feelings are just so mixed right now.... I don't know how i should feel....
I'm gazing upon my Tv upon those four familiar faces that light up my days..... My lovely Paul, John, George, and Ringo... I just wish I was born in the 50's........ I wish i had been in all the beatle craze..... I love you my Beatles....

Close your eyes and I'll kiss you Tomorrow I'll miss you Remember I'll always be true And then while, I'm away I'll write home everyday And I'll send all my loving to you I'll pretend, that I'm kissing The lips I'm missing And hope, that my dreams, will come true And then while I'm away I'll write home everyday And I'll send all my loving to you All my loving, I'll send to you All my loving, darling I'll be true
All my loving, I'll send to you All my loving, darling I'll be true.

across the universe

Ahh.... i can't wait to see this master piece, Julie Taymor's new flick "Across the Universe". .... thursday, 29th...... yeeaaahhhhh...... Across the Universe is a musical which was inspired by The Beatles music...i guess youve really gotta have a great appreciation for art and music to love it!
I wish they used the original songs as the ones that they cover were shit.... especially sgt. peppers lonely heart which they dubbed in a lovely psychedelic ride on a magic roofless bus. sigh.... But i need a desperate kick of Beatles and the 60's..so its pretty worth it....
ENJOY.... AWW, I would love to own a poster of Jude and Lucy kissing underwater...
I kiss you under the water,
I love you yesterday
and yesterday is gone.

Paul McCartney album review
As some of you might already know, the highly-Lucy-anticipated Paul McCartney album has already come out.
"Memory Almost Full " was released a few days back, but still hasn't showed up here in Malaysia... sigh...
After listening to his tracks here on a daily basis, I have came to realize that i have never seem to get over his songs. they are still able to send me flying back to those days where girls wore only flowers and hair, as the men only wore a hand-wraped cigarette between their naked fingers...
The certain track that I'm soooooooo loving is "Dance Tonight". The video is so psychedelic and beatle-ish in a way.It also features Natalie Portman whom i totally love inside-out. And features a red mail van that really reminds me of the cartoon, Postman Pat that i used to tune into everyday while i was still a weenybeeny. well, heres the bonus;
