Have you ever wondered

1. Tory Burch Felted Pea Coat
4. Moschino Bow Front Coat

What is the function of buttons on jacket and coat sleeves????

Have you ever asked yourself why the hell there are buttons on the ends of our jacket sleeves.
This question has been thrown at me multiple times by my fashion curious husband, Raymond..

So i decided to do a bit of research on this matter....

And, the answer was simply stunning and hilarious!
So, according to information that was passed down through the ages,
none other than Napoleon Bonaparte dictated that buttons must be attached to jacket sleeves to stop the annoying habit soldiers had of wiping their runny noses on their jacket sleeves.

Hahaa,,, can you believe that!!! Fashion sure goes a long way!

THANKS BONA!!

Now Raymond, Stop wondering..!

Fashion History and Icon

Many might already recognize this fashion icon and extraordinare...
Marc Bohan (born August 22, 1926) is a French fashion designer.
He was the assistant to Christian Dior and in charge of the London, England branch of the house until 1958, when Yves Saint-Laurent, then fashion director of the house, was drafted by the army into the Algerian War of Independence. (Saint-Laurent lasted 4 weeks in the army, then suffered a nervous breakdown.)
Marc Bohan was handed the reins in Saint-Laurent's absence.

These designs date back to the early to middle sixties when Marc Bohan was heading Christian Dior.I’m adoring these fluffy things...

Aren't they vintage!
